Thomas A. Black Jr., 70, of Manchester, NH died November 25, 2021 surrounded by family. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and was a long time communicant of St. Marie Parish.
Born in Boston, MA on August 11, 1951 he was the son of Thomas A. and Doris (Leary) Black Sr. He was predeceased by his brother James. He was educated in the Boston school system.
Prior to his retirement he worked for Shawmut Bank, Amoskeag and Eastern Banks in NH and Green Mountain in VT. He also worked the 2001 U.S. Census in Concord, NH as district manager.
Tom loved boating, reading, and researching things on the computer. He also enjoyed our camp at Totem Pole, Freedom, NH where he served on the board and was a past president. He loved camping and traveling in the RV, cherished time with friends and family and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Family members include his wife of 34 years Mary (Buckley) Black of Manchester; his son Zachary Black of Alton, NH; his daughter Katelyn Black and partner A.J. of Manchester; his grandchildren Liam and Kaira of Manchester; his sisters Sandy Black and her daughter Amanda; Pamela Black and her daughter Micaela.
Calling hours are Monday November 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 30th at 10 a.m. at St. Marie Parish, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester, NH. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Marie's for a handicap door at the side entrance.
