Thomas C. Cunningham, Sr., 51, of Goffstown, died April 5, 2023, at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Paul E. Cunningham, Sr. and the late Janice A. (Hamel) Cunningham, and raised lovingly by Paul and Sheila Cunningham.

Tom was born in Haverhill, MA on December 5, 1971. The family moved to New Hampshire in 1985 and Tom graduated from Goffstown High School, where he met the love of his life, best friend, and future wife, Joanne. Right after high school, Tom enlisted in and proudly served honorably in the US Army, stationed in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After completing active duty, he and Joanne married in February of 1993 and started their family. They welcomed Samantha in 1995, Thomas Jr. in 1996, and Kasaundra in 2002. Tom and Joanne's beautiful love story spanned three decades, and they rarely left each other's side until her recent passing in October of 2022.

A passionate foodie and talented cook, Tom worked for various restaurants after leaving the army before joining the family business at Lemay and Son's Beef, where he became the General Manager of The Steak Out. He loved his position and the freedom it gave him to indulge his culinary interests. Tom enjoyed hunting and spent much of his spare time playing and coaching hockey. He was a Bruins fan through and through. Tom also loved to sing and spoke fondly of his time in high school chorus and his church choir. He was a very funny man with a larger than life presence and an irrepressible (and often daring) sense of humor. His eyes were kind, his smile warm, and his laugh was contagious. Being a Grampy brought him a tremendous amount of joy; he loved spending time with his young grandson and was so proud of the mother his daughter had become. He was caring, open, and honest, and his family was most important to him. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His loss leaves an immense hole in our hearts, and he will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Tom is predeceased by his wife, Joanne G. (Gagnon) Cunningham, and is survived by his three children, (Samantha J. Bachand and Nicholas Bachand, of Deering; Thomas C. Cunningham Jr., of Goffstown; Kasaundra J. Cunningham and Cameron Dyer, of Goffstown;) one grandson, Alaric J. Bachand of Deering; his mother, Sheila Cunningham, of Weare; two sisters, (Yvonne S. Lemay and Richard Lemay of Weare; Kelly G. Cunningham and Adam Forman, of Philadelphia, PA) two brothers, (Richard R. Britton and Tracie Britton, of Manchester; Paul E. Cunningham Jr., of ME) his mother-in-law, Monique Gagnon, along with a beloved extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and countless friends.
