Thomas J. Gajewski

Thomas J. Gajewski, 92, formerly of Colonial Village, Manchester, died December 26, 2001, at St. Teresa Manor, after a brief illness.

Born in Hazelton, Pa., July 15, 1909, he was the son of Leopold and Anna (Wiatr) Gajewski. He lived most of his life in Kearny, NJ and had been a Manchester resident the past 25 years.

He worked in the trucking industry in New Jersey until his retirement.

He was married to Hedwig (Luchwinko) Gajewski, who died April 19th.In addition he was predeceased by a son, Thomas Daniel Gajewski, who died in 1987.

Family members include 2 daughters, Barbara Wynne of East Rutherford, NJ, and Margaret Nelson of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Valarie Hnatiuk of Kearny, NJ, Martha Suscavage of No. Arlington, NJ, and Gertrude Wood of Westfield, NJ; nieces and nephews.

He was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.

There were no calling hours.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated December 28, 2001 in St. Catherine Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
