Thomas A. Lemos, of Manchester died January 15, 2005 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton after a long illness.
Born in Manchester on June 8, 1921, he was the son of Francisco and Maria (Matos) Lemos. He graduated from Central High School and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Army with the 774th Anti-Tank Division and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He worked at Sears in Manchester for many years.
Mr. Lemos was an avid golfer and had been a member at Charmingfare and Candia Woods in Candia.
He was married to Solange M. (Lafond) Lemos who died in 1983.
The family includes two daughters, Sheila Lemos of New Hampshire and Florida and Donna Valliere of Massachusetts; a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Valliere of Washington, DC; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday January 18, 2005 in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
