Thomas G. Myers, 62, died suddenly August 27, 2017 at his home.
A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was born on September 17, 1954, the eldest son of Thomas B. and Catherine (Ganley) Myers. He graduated from Trinity High School, Class of 1972. He earned a BA in political science from St. Michael's College in 1976 and was a proud Michaelman for the rest of his life. In 1988, he earned a MS in applied management from Lesley College.
Tom dedicated 40 years of service to Verizon Business Solutions, most recently as an accounts manager.
Tom also dedicated much of his time over the years to local youth and adult sports: coaching and refereeing basketball games for HYAA, refereeing girls' basketball games for Londonderry High School, refereeing mens' basketball games at the SportsZone, coaching and umpiring baseball games at North Little League. In 2000, he was awarded the Jack Cullen Umpire Award for his "dedicated and exemplary service to the youth of North Little League".
Above all else, Tom will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend. Mr. Dependable will be greatly missed.
Family members include his wife of 37 years, Patricia (Hebert) Myers of Manchester; his daughter, Lindsay (Myers) Williams and husband Benjamin of Seward, AK; his son, Thomas B. Myers of Manchester; his siblings, Sheila Brisson and husband Thomas of Hooksett, Debra McLaughlin and husband Matthew of Bedford, Garry Myers and wife Donna of Hooksett, Cindy Myers of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins; and his sidekick, Bear.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2017 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Streets. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
