Thomas P. Rohan Jr., 77, of Bedford died September 13, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 26, 1928, the son of Thomas P. and Honorah (Moriarty) Rohan Sr. He and his family have lived in Bedford since 1978.

While living in NY he attended local schools and in 1950 received his Bachelors degree in Business from Manhattan College. He entered the Army and served 21 months in Korea. He received his law degree from St. Johns University in 1956.

He was President of the Student Bar Association at St. Johns. Mr. Rohan worked for many years for Allied Stores in NY, later transferring to Bedford to become the general manager of Jordan Marsh until his retirement in 1991.

He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, and a kind person who was thoughtful of others.

Family members include his wife of 49 years, Luz (Barrios) Rohan of Bedford; 2 daughters, Barbara Turmelle of Bedford and Patricia Rohan of Goffstown; 2 sons, Thomas P. Rohan III of Mt. Lakes, NJ and Steven Rohan of Brookeville, MD; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Mary McCartney of Brooklyn, NY; 3 brothers, Patrick Rohan of New Fairfield, CT, Timothy Rohan of Greensboro, NC and John Rohan of Clifton Park NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday September 16, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford.

Burial followed in Bedford Center Cemetery.
