Todd J. Rockwell, 43, of Bedford, NH, passed away with his wife by his side after a courageous four month battle with lymphoma on July 8, 2016. Todd, being the middle child, was the heart of his family. He brought people together and held them up, even in his final moments.
Born in Nashua, on June 13, 1973, Todd was the son of Natt L. Rockwell and Elaine M. (Reale) Rockwell. He was raised in Manchester and was a graduate of Memorial High School where he was a standout baseball and football player. This fueled his love for his two favorite teams, the Red Sox and the Patriots. He treasured his family trips to Fenway as a child and continued this tradition into his adulthood with his brother Bill, closest friend Al and wife Amy.
Todd attended the New Hampshire Technical Institute. He was a mold maker by trade and owner of the family business, Rockwell Tool and Die. Since taking over in 2005, Todd's innovation, craft, and hard work expanded and elevated the business and solidified Rockwell Tool and Die in the industry.
Todd made friends wherever he went. His infectious smile and good-natured demeanor made him easy to be around. He was a man of integrity and always put others first. His friends admired his loyalty and selflessness and could always count on him at any time. Above all, Todd was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life and he simply met his match in Amy in 2007 and they married in 2008. In eight short years they built a full rich life together and created a beautiful family that was his pride and joy.
Todd and Amy's home was the central location for gatherings as Todd enjoyed sharing his love of sports and life with family and friends. They would often entertain and amuse each other by retelling stories of their youth. Todd was known for throwing great Superbowl parties and barbeques where he was famous for his grilling techniques, so much so that he was often put in charge at other people's homes.
Whenever he could, Todd enjoyed getting outdoors to hunt and fish. He would often get up at 4 a.m. in order to get a few hours in the woods before heading to work. Todd said it was the quiet and solitude that he wanted, but, more likely, it was him searching for the perfect spot for his tree stand.
Todd was a loving husband to Amy M. (Jalbert) Rockwell and adored father to Charlotte and Brooklyn, all of Bedford. He is survived by his mother, Elaine M. (Reale) Rockwell of Manchester; his father, Natt L. Rockwell and wife Sheila of Bennington; his brother, Bill Rockwell and wife Stephanie and two nieces, Sophia and Olivia of Nashua; one sister, Michele Bliven and husband Dan of Goffstown; and his brother, Jonny Rockwell and nephew, Joseph of Manchester.
Thank you to all who loved Todd and continue to love his family.
Memorial donations may be made to: McKeryn Bridge Foundation, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101, in Todd's memory.
