Ulysse H. Mailhot

Ulysse H. "Jack" Mailhot, 75, of Manchester, died December 31, 2010.

He was born in Dixville Quebec Canada on February 6, 1935, to Samuel and Luciana (Laberge) Mailhot.

For many years Jack worked in construction, most notably Fowler Construction. Later he worked as a mechanic, and for the last five years he was delivery man for Advanced Auto.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 5260 Council.

Jack had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was an avid Nascar fan, and took pride in his flower and vegetable gardens. He loved his fishing trips to Northern Quebec.

Jack enjoyed all time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and friends who knew him.

Family members include his wife of 55 years Aline Mailhot, of Manchester; his children, Lynne Mailhot, Shirley Poirier, Pete Mailhot, Roger Mailhot, Andy Mailhot, Vicky DeGust, all of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Eliane Tremblay, of Dixville, Ouebec Canada; He was predeceased by a son Joseph in 1956.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St.

Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
