Verna R. (Cote) Chaney, 64, of Concord, NH died on Tuesday (November 2, 2021) at the Catholic Medical Center with her family by her side after a long illness.
Born in Fort Kent, ME on October 6, 1957, daughter of the late Clifford L. and Louise B. (Chasse) Cote of Grand Isle, ME.
Prior to retirement, she worked for the Travelers Insurance Company for 37 years.
Verna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and playing word games with friends on facebook.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Timothy Chaney of Concord, NH; her son Nicholas Chaney of Concord, NH; her two grandchildren, William and Madeline Chaney; five brothers James Cote and his girlfriend Angela Anderson of Grand Isle, ME; Robert Cote and his girlfriend Debby Waite of LaBelle, FL; Llewellyn Cote and his wife Esther of Madawaska, ME; Roger Cote and his wife Linda of Fort Myers, FL; Ernest Cote and his wife Kathy of Port St. Lucie, FL and her sister Elaine Gaudreau and her husband Brian of South Windsor, CT.
She was predeceased by her father Clifford L. Cote in 2012, her mother Louise (Chasse) Cote in 2014, her sister-in-law Claire (Nadeau) Cote in 2014, her sister-in-law Nancy (Beaulieu) Cote in 2006, her grandmother Germaine Cote in 2004, and her infant sister Linda Cote in 1956.
A celebration of Verna's life will be held on Wednesday, November 10th at 1 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, NH.
