Viola B. (Morrissette) St. Jean, 98, of Manchester, died December 27, 2021 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on September 15, 1923 to George and Laura (Lemay) Morrissette. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Viola had worked at Chemfab in Merrimack for many years and at Chicopee Mills, Pandora Knitted Fashions and Carol Cable Company, all in Manchester.
She enjoyed knitting creations for charity.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Francis W. St. Jean in 2003 and by four siblings, Roland, Paul, Richard and Roger Morrissette.
Viola is survived by four children, Francis "Skyp" St. Jean and his wife, Carole, of Manchester, Richard St. Jean and his wife, Bonnie, of Barnstead, Diane Ritter and her husband, Robert, of Hooksett and Suzanne Moore and her husband, Michael, of Manchester; seven grandchildren, John St. Jean, Daniel St. Jean, Richard St. Jean, Michael Moore, Amy Moore, Sheri Nocelli and Scott Ritter; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A walk-through visitation with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Tuesday (1/4) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (1/5) at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, Walker Street, Manchester. Please wear a mask. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
