Viola B. Ziarko

She was born in Manchester, June 30, 1924, and was the daughter of Arthur and Lillian (Sullivan) Lajoie. She lived most of her life in Litchfield.

Mrs. Ziarko worked as a sales clerk at Grand Union Champagne's.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was the center of her life.

She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She was married 61 years to Stanley W. Ziarko, who died in 2005.

Family members include five children, Sandra Bucher, of Tennessee, June Dudley, Stanley W. Ziarko Jr., Judith Salach, and Kathleen Degulis, all of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Frederick Lajoie, of Manchester; a sister, Nancy Normand, of Dunbarton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday December 15, 2007 at St. Francis Church, Litchfield. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
