Violet F. Deziel

She was born in Manchester on July 18, 1930, the daughter of Joseph Henri and Juliette (St. Gelais) Duchesne. She was educated in the local schools and was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School for Girls.

In addition to raising four boys, prior to retirement, she had been employed for many years by Sears and by the State of NH State Library.

Violet loved ballroom dancing, making arts and crafts and gardening. Above all else she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who cherished time spent with family.

Family members include her husband of 60 years, George Deziel of Manchester; four sons, David Deziel and wife Jan of Manchester, Gary Deziel and wife Katrina of Georgia, VT, John Deziel and wife Jane Stapleton Deziel of Newmarket,Dennis Deziel and wife Nicole of Cabin John, Maryland; her grandchildren, Jackson, Ryan, Alex, Anna, Julia, and Johannah; one great-grandson, Luc; one sister, Lucille Lafond of Manchester and one brother, Robert Duchesne of CA. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Soucy.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial in the NH Veterans Cemetery will be private and at a later date.
