Violet L. (Rybczyk) Rouleau, 94, of Manchester, died December 28, 2018 at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on May 27, 1924 to Joseph and Anna (Bara) Rybczyk. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She had worked at several Manchester area mills over a period of many years.
Violet was a member of the Ladies Guild at the former St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manchester and was a Girl Scout Leader during her younger years. She knitted hats, mittens and scarves and donated them to local hospitals and the Salvation Army.
She enjoyed her cats and dogs and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the loves of her life.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Donat F. Rouleau in 1989; a son, Steven M. Rouleau; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Rouleau and eight siblings.
The family includes a son, Peter J. Rouleau and wife, Elise, of Manchester; five grandchildren, Kristie Plumb, Matthew Rouleau, Elisabeth Untiet, Bryan Rouleau and Jason Rouleau; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Private burial will be at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester.
