She was born in Manchester on May 21, 1921, the daughter of Alphonse and Marie Louise (Oligny) Rouleau. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement she had been employed at Memorial Hospital in Florida for many years. Previously, she had worked at several local shoe manufacturers.
Violet loved playing bingo,puzzles and cards with her girls at night. She enjoyed eating out and was formerly a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family.
Survivors include her daughters Karlleen Tremblay and her husband Andre of Manchester, Barbara McTernan and her husband Michael of South Carolina; her grandchildren, James and Daren Tremblay of South Carolina, Amy Swist and husband Keith of Manchester, Shaun McTernan and wife Marina of South Carolina, Shannon Mulcahey and husband Brian of Massachusetts; great-grandchildren, A.J., Anna, Kaley and Caleb; one sister, Gisele Jobin of Manchester; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2011 in St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Road and Sarto Street. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Patient Activities Fund at Villa Crest Nursing Home, 1276 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104.
