Violette R. Dubois, 94, of Manchester, died peacefully May 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.
She was born in Manchester on June 26, 1922 to Hector and Marion (Auger) Bourque. Violette was educated in Manchester and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She worked for nearly ten years at Hillsborough County Nursing Home and later at Chicopee, as a mill worker prior to retirement.
Violette enjoyed playing bingo and jigsaw puzzles. She was a very religious person and devoted her life to caring for her family, especially the well being of her daughter Lucille.
She was predeceased by her husband Feriol "Pete" Dubois in 1994.
Family includes her daughter, Lucille Dubois of Derry; her granddaughter, Melissa Morin and husband Ronald of Bedford; her great grandson, James Walls IV of Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Helen Isabelle; and son, Alfred Dubois.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Parish of Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, 8 Peabody St., Derry, NH 03038.
