Virginia was born in Pennsylvania to Stanley and Margaret (Selesky) Orbin. Moving to New York City as a young adult, she became a successful beautician much in demand by famous personalities. Following W.W.II, she met and married Theodore Rodanas, a 10th Army Mountain Division combat veteran who stole her heart and uprooted her to Manchester, where she resided for the rest of her long life, a dedicated wife and mother.
Virginia was the best friend and neighbor anyone could ever have. She loved children (especially her grandchildren) and all God's creatures. Virginia was beautiful both physically and spiritually. She enjoyed creating beautiful things, loved nature and was a role model for fortitude and faith.
Members of her family include her husband, Alfred M. "Ted" Rodanas; a daughter, Kristina Rodanas of Yarmouth Port, MA; a son, Michael T. Rodanas and his wife Donna of Bedford, NH; two grandchildren, Rex and Vanessa, and close cousins from Maine to Virginia.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Pine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia's memory may be sent to the Bedford VFW Post #8401 or Bedford Presbyterian Church for memorial plantings.
