She was born in Manchester on December 3, 1930 to Ernest and Therese (Champagne) Bourque. She graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls in 1948. She lived in Manchester for most of her life and in Paris, France, Maryland and Connecticut before moving to Papillion in 2004.
Vivian was a wife, mother, homemaker, working woman and, for 30 years, an Army wife.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rodolphe M. Laverdure in 1998, her parents, and two brothers, Paul Bourque and Eugene Bourque.
The family includes four children, Ronald E. Laverdure and his wife, Lynda, of Fairhaven, MA, Richard P. Laverdure and his companion, Amy Akashi, of Alameda, CA, Michael L. Laverdure and his wife, Patricia, of Oak Hill, VA and Susan T. Frazier and her husband, Edwin, of Bellevue, NE; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Edward Bourque of Manchester; five nephews, two nieces and many lifelong friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, or the American Cancer Society.
