Wanda Dowd

Wanda (Walicki) Dowd, 91, of Manchester, died May 13, 2005 at a local nursing facility after a sudden illness.

She was born in Manchester, NH on March 29, 1914, the daughter of Kazimierz and Mary (Churah) Walicki.

She was educated in the local school system.

Mrs. Dowd was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Dowd, in 1988.

Members of her family include two daughters, Constance A. Hendry and Joan Dowd-Dunn, both of Manchester; one son, Francis J. Dowd Jr. of Manchester; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Monday May 16, 2005. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
