Wilfred A. "Willie" Chabot, 81, of Manchester, died August 26, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Manchester, February 24, 1923, he was a son of Ernest and Rosa (Brunelle) Chabot. He lived in Danvers, MA for several years and in Bedford, NH for 20 years before returning to Manchester 4 years ago.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy as a tail gunner in the South Pacific.
Mr. Chabot worked as a shoe designer at Lowell Shoe Co. in Hudson for many years. He also worked at Evangeline Shoe Co. for 10 years.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was married to Florence I. (Favreau) Chabot who died in 1999.
Family members include three daughters, Constance Boissonneault of Bedford, Annette Turcotte of Beverly, MA, and Lisa Pappas of Manchester; 5 grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers, Paul Chabot of Wilton, Felix Chabot of Fairfax, VA, Ernest Chabot of Manchester, and Louis Chabot of Ormond Beach, FL; two sisters, Theresa Miville of Manchester, and Cecile Wester of Concord; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday August 30, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meeting House Rd., Bedford. Encryptment followed in Mount Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester.
