Wilfred J. Ott, 100, formerly of Bedford, NH died June 26, 2022 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton after a brief illness.
Born in North Collins, NY on January 11, 1922, he was the son of George and Irene (Gaylord) Ott. He was educated in the NY public school system and attended St. Anselm College.
Prior to his honorable discharge, he served in the US Air Force during WWII as a B-24 bomber pilot.
Wilfred had worked as a network manager for New England Telephone for many years before his retirement.
He enjoyed amateur radio, photography, and computers
His wife, Doris (Lewis) Ott, predeceased him in 2014.
Family members include his son, Mark Ott and wife Susan of Hooksett; his daughter, Kathleen McHugh of Kennebunk, ME; his grandchildren, Amber Lindquist, Kristina Steffen, Melisa Smith, Jason and Eric McHugh; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Rosemarie Lippold of Clifton Park, NY.
Visiting hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Chapel, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Thursday, June 30th from 9 to 10:30 am, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
