Wilfred A. Pariseau

Wilfred A. Pariseau, 77, of Manchester died September 19, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

He was born in Manchester on May 10, 1929 and was the son of Henry and Margaret (Connolly) Pariseau. He had been a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church.

He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and had served in the National Guard from 1949 to 1952. He was a member of the Manchester Fire Department from 1952 to 1955. Wilfred had worked for several years as a sales representative for the former Auclair Transportation, retiring from Ross Express in 1992.

He served on the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Manchester Fire Department from 1976-1988 and was the past President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Patrick Parish.

Wilfred was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood and a member of the Board of the Manchester Food Bank. He served on the Advisory Board of the Triangle Credit Union and was a member of the Seniors Dart Club of the Manchester Parks and Recreation.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Norma (Lamorre) Pariseau of Manchester; two daughters, Donna Keefe of Manchester and Norma Alekna of Dover, MA; a son, William Pariseau of Hooksett; three sisters, Mary Grady and Geraldine Cross both of Manchester and Theresa Pouliot of Goffstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased in 1970 by a brother, former Mayor of Manchester, Henry Pariseau. The family also includes a son in law, John Alekna; his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kelly Keefe VanNort, Casey Keefe, John Alekna Jr., Ali Alekna, Tess Alekna, Jack VanNort and Ella VanNort; and a grandson in law, Mark VanNort.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday September 23, 2006 in St Patrick Church, 138 Coolidge Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
