Wilfrid Gagnon, 85, of Goffstown, died December 3, 2004 at the Laurel Center in Bedford after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Grand May, Quebec on November 12, 1919, the son of Emmanuel and Blanche (Cote) Gagnon. He attended aeronautical schools in CA, FL, NH, KS, and MI.
During WWII, he served 3 e years in Europe with the US Army.
He was employed as a head mechanic for TWA in California for 34 years. He had lived in Inglewood, CA prior to moving back to the area after retiring in 1985. He had also worked for ACME and ABC Upholstering Co. from 1946-1948, Felton Brush Co., and as a mechanic at the Manchester Airport.
He loved playing cards and was a champion cribbage player.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Laurel Center for all the wonderful care they gave Wilfrid during his time there.
Members of his family include his wife of nearly 59 years, Cecile (Boilard) Gagnon of Goffstown; one daughter, Mrs. Tony (Suzanne) Schepak of Howell, MI; two granddaughters, Brittany and Mariah; two brothers, Omer Gagnon of Hooksett and Alfred Gagnon of Bedford; nephews and nieces.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Parish of the Transfiguration on Tuesday December 7, 2004.
