Born in Manchester on June 11, 1928, he was the son of William and Marion (Montplaisir) Angers. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Army Air Corps.
Mr. Angers worked for Sunshine Company and Nabisco Company for many years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a Past Grand Knight of Council 92 and a 4th degree member of the Bishop Bradley Assembly.
He was married to Rachel (Boisvert) Angers who died in 1999.
The family includes his wife, Lorraine (Proulx)(Beaudet)(Hynes) Angers of Manchester; two children, Richard Angers and Kimberly Bourgeois both of Manchester; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter; four step children, Marcel Beaudet, Paul Beaudet, Collette Rousseau and Monique Pacheco all of Manchester; five step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; two brothers, George Angers and John Angers both of Sarasota, FL; two sisters, Olive Paris of Sarasota, FL and Irene Mitchell of Rhode Island; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday July 16, 2007 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. The burial was private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
