William C. "Bill" Atkins, 81, of Hooksett, NH passed away on May 20, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Born on December 6, 1940 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Marjorie (Cargill) Atkins.

In his earlier years, he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the Air National Guard.

Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid bow hunter. He enjoyed spending time in Bear Brook State Park where he learned to hunt as a child.

He had worked at General Electric in Hooksett for over 30 years from where he retired in 2006.

He enjoyed hunting, traveling, visiting the casinos and spending time with his family.

Bill leaves his wife and best friend of 43 years, Priscilla (Kies) Atkins; his three daughters, Joan Morgan and husband James of Weare, NH, Donna Barnett and husband William of Allenstown, NH, and Sharon Payson and husband Leighton II of Manchester; a step-son, David Mitchell of Manchester; a step-daughter, Susan Gregoire and husband Greg of Manchester; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Atkins and wife Lucille of Florida; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son, William C. Atkins, Jr. and sisters, Beverly Hoyt, Gloria Martineau and his brother, Charles Atkins.
Visiting hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Wednesday from 10 am to noon, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Granite VNA Hospice, 240 Pleasant St, Concord, NH 03301.
