William A. "Bill" Brooks, 69, of Goffstown, died December 26, 2017 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
He was born in Malden, MA on February 4, 1948 to Wendell and Jessie (Brewster) Brooks. He grew up and lived for many years in Medford, MA. He later lived in Salem, Windham, Derry and Manchester before moving to Goffstown 14 years ago.
Bill had owned and operated Burgundy's Billiards in Londonderry and Derry for over 17 years. He enjoyed playing chess and had won chess tournaments. He was also a member of pool and dart leagues.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
The family includes his wife of 43 years, Jeannette (Chartier) Brooks of Goffstown; three daughters, Jennifer Brooks of Londonderry, Rebecca Brooks of Acton, MA and Natalie DeScioli of Mt. Sinai, NY; a granddaughter, Anna Benjamin; and six siblings.
A funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
