He was born in Somerville MA on September 16, 1939, the son of the late John and Harriet (Hardy) Coffey. A devoted and loving husband, he was predeceased by the love of his life, Joan F. Coffey in January 2007.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kathleen and Michael Brady of Goffstown, Karen Coffey of Hampstead and Joanne and Joseph Tomko of Manchester. He was the proud and loving grandfather of his seven grandsons, Daniel, Bryce, Dillon, Cameron, Owen, Griffin and Braedan. He cherished spending time with them above all else and he will be missed dearly.
He truly was his own man and worked hard every day of his life. For over forty years he owned and operated Built Rite Products and was a skilled welding craftsman and fabricator. What he earned through backbreaking work, he readily shared with his family and friends always willing to lend a hand. He was a fair and generous man, strong in his convictions, with a wonderful sense of humor.
He is also survived by two sisters, Bertha Casey and Martha Wilson, both of Somerville, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Coffey and Harriet Coffey and one brother, John Coffey.
A memorial service took place on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Donations may be made in his memory to the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester and Southern NH, 1070 Holt Ave., Suite 1400, Manchester NH 03109 and/or the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack NH 03054.
