He was born in Pelham, NH, on June 19, 1931, the son of Ignat and Annie (Percevitch) Danisewich. He was a 1949 graduate of Edward F. Searles High School of Methuen, MA, and Lowell Trade School in 1951. He also attended New Hampshire College.
He was a Korean War Veteran who served four years in the US Navy as an aviation electrician.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Raytheon Corp. as a machinist for 42 years, retiring in 1993 from the Raytheon West Andover Plant.
He was a former communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and had recently become a parishioner of St. Pius X Church.
Bill loved animals and was especially fond of his cats. He found his greatest joy coloring and spending time with his grandchildren, whom lovingly called him "Grand dragon".
Members of his family include his wife of 46 years, Joan (Erlman) Danisewich of Manchester; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann Danisewich-Martin and Patrick Martin of Boxborough, MA; two sons, Robert P. Danisewich and his wife Jennifer of Broomfield, CO, and David J. Danisewich of Manchester; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Haley Martin of Boxborough, MA; one sister, Esther Riley of Southgate, CA; one niece, Linda Irish of San Diego; one nephew, Steven Denton of Oregon.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Helen, Janice, Michael, Steven, and Paul.
The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday February 20, 2008 in St. Pius X Church, Candia Road, Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
