William F. Delahanty

William F. Delahanty, 73, of Manchester, died September 1, 2002, at a local hospital after a period of declining health surrounded by his family.

Born in Manchester, April 5, 1929, he was the son of Thomas and Mary (O'Neil) Delahanty. He was a lifelong resident of this city.

He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

He was vice president and general manager of Duclos Auto Body.

He was one of the founding members of Boy Scout Troop 113, Goffs Falls. He was chairmen of the Camp Carpenter Committee and a member of the Camp Carpenter Trustees. In 1984 he received the silver beaver award which is the highest award given for service to youth.

He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a communicant of St. Francis Church, Litchfield.

Family members include his wife, Arlene (Duclos) Delahanty of Manchester; a daughter, Kellee Manning of Hooksett; 2 sons, Kevin Delahanty of Hooksett, and Brian Delahanty of Francestown; 6 grandchildren, Moria Delahanty, Liam Delahanty, Quinn Delahanty, Cayla Delahanty, Christopher Manning, and Erin Manning; a sister, Alice Pirozzi of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday September 5, 2002 in St. Francis Church, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
