William J. Desrosiers

William J. "Billy Dee" Desrosiers, 71, of Manchester, died April 29, 2011 at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Manchester on January 7, 1940 to Fred and Gladys (Daley) Desrosiers.

He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He attended local schools and entered the US Army in 1960.

Mr. Desrosiers was an avid cycler. He also enjoyed hiking and skiing with his family and friends.

He taught exercise classes for many years at various health clubs in the Manchester-Derry area and was always helping others by giving support and showing them encouragement.

He owned and operated BBS Hearing Aide Group for many years.

He was a New Hampshire State Representative for over 14 years.

In His Life: Family members include his beloved wife of 29 years, Susan (Dachowski) Desrosiers of Manchester; a daughter, Rebecca Desrosiers and a grandson, Delaney, both of Manchester; four sisters, Doris Lynch of Tarpon, FL, Joan Speass and her husband, Will, of Hampton, Nancy Kazakis and her husband, John, of Largo Fl and Karen Deffina of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl; two brothers, Ronald Desrosiers and Ned Desrosiers and his wife, Kim, all of Manchester; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

SERVICES:

Calling hours in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester are Wednesday from 2- 4:30 pm. A memorial service will commence at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester, NH 03102
