William G. Dion

William "Willy" G. Dion, 82 of Manchester, and North Fort Myers FL, died Saturday May 14, 2005, at the Lee Memorial Hospitial.

He was born in Manchester, October 2, 1922, and was the son of Joseph and Angeline (Delisle) Dion.

He was educated in the Manchester School System, and served with the United States Army during World War II.

Willy was a member of the Manchester Fire Department for 21 years, retiring as a Lieutenant 1978. He was a member of Local 856 of the Professional Firefighters of Manchester, The Firefighters Relief Association, and the Professional Firefighters of NH.

He served for four terms in the NH House of Representatives.

Willy was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Ft. Myers, FL, The Elks of Punta Gorda FL, The Moose Club, of Cape Coral FL, and American Legion Sweeney Post #2, in Manchester.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Mary C. (Pollard) Dion, of North Ft. Myers, and Manchester; a daughter, Maurine Duval, of Manchester; 2 grandchildren, Daniel Duval and Katherine Duval, both of Manchester ; 3 sisters, Rachel Allard, Aurore Villeneuve, both of Bedford, Marie Lojko, of Nashua; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Dion was predeceased by 2 sisters; Alice Lefever, and Cecile Roy, and 3 brothers, Arthur Dion, Albert Dion, Aime Dion.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday May 20, 2005 in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St. Manchester.

Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St. Bedford NH.
