He was born in Nashua, NH on December 9, 1924, the son of James W. and Genesta (Munroe) Harnish. After attending Nashua High School, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed in the automotive sales division at Daw Tire & Supply in Hudson, NH.
He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed woodworking and hobbies around the house. He was the former Exalted Ruler of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks.
He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Mireault) Harnish in 2001.
Family members include his daughter, Cheryl Clancy and her husband Joseph of Bedford, NH; two granddaughters, Kristin Heath and Kelly Woodbury and her husband David, all of Manchester; one special great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Cabrera of Manchester.
Committal prayers took place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Road, on Monday, March 22, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
