William Bill Moquin

William "Bill" Moquin, 80, of Hooksett, died peacefully December 8, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on December 1, 1937, he was the son of William T. and Anastasia (Boisvert) Moquin. He was educated in the local school system and attended Manchester High School Central.
During the Cuban Missile Crisis, he served in the US Army stationed in North Carolina.
Prior to retirement, he had worked many years as a shop steward for Silver Brothers in the beverage industry. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 633 (trustee for 23 years).
Bill served as a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Bradley Assembly and as the council's past faithful navigator. He was also an officer in the Alhambra and a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. One of his proudest moments was being one of only two NH Knights of Columbus Honor Guards for Pope John Paul II's visit in October, 1995 at Meadowlands Stadium, NJ with 83,000 attendees. Bill enjoyed fishing with his family, watching his kids and grandchildren play sports and perform dance and theater.
He was an active communicant, usher and perpetual adoration member of St. Anthony Parish
His wife, Nancy E. (Loranger) Moquin of 47 years predeceased him in 2004.
Family members include his children, Robert G. Moquin and wife Colleen of Charleston, SC, Timothy R. Moquin and wife Heather of Manchester, Kathleen Fosher and husband Richard of Hooksett; his grandchildren, Melissa, Caitlin, Cameron and Sydney Moquin, Kalvin and Richard Fosher; daughter-in-laws: Cassie and Claudia Fosher, his sisters, Lucille Minturn of Manchester, Pauline Papciak of Bedford, Shirley Bellerive of Concord; many nephews, nieces and cousins. He also enjoyed the companionship of Shirley Gagnon and her family.
A Mass of Catholic burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road.
