ee Born in North Attleboro, MA on August 8, 1934, he was the son of William D. and Dorothy (MacGregor) Palmer.e He has lived in the Manchester area since 1996.
ee He had a love for animals and attended the Norfolk County Agricultural School in Walpole, MA.e He later went on to own and operate the Westwind Meadows Dairy Farm in Burnham, ME for many years.e
ee Prior to, and after this time, he worked in the construction industry.e While working for Cianbro Corporation of Pittsfield, ME he helped build the sea wall at Hampton Beach, NH and the new Amoskeag Bridge in Manchester, NH.
ee He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hooksett, NH and a former member of the Future Farmers of America.
ee The family includes his wife of 47 years, Margaret (Pope) Palmer of Manchester, NH; a daughter, Sherri L. Thornton of Burnham, ME; a son, Bruce L. Palmer of Manchester, NH; five grandchildren; a brother, George "Ray" Palmer of West Barnstable, MA; several nieces and nephews.
ee There are no calling hours.e The funeral will be Thursday at 11 am. in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Mammoth Rd., Hooksett, NH.e Burial will be Friday at 11 am. in Oak Neck Cemetery, Barnstable, MA.
