William W. Pickens, 77, of Manchester, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 15, 2017.
He was born in Miami, Florida in 1939 to William and Connie (Ambrose) Pickens. He grew up in Florida and later moved to Massachusetts living in Hyde Park and Dedham. William graduated from Boston Latin High School and Boston University. He married the love of his life of 54 years, June LoPorto, and soon began their family eventually settling in Manchester where they raised their four children.
William was a career sales professional, working with Newpro Windows for many years in Woburn, MA. He was an avid Boston sports fan and he most enjoyed the time spent with his family. His retirement was filled with pride where he was the biggest fan following his five grandchildren and their many athletic events, interests and hobbies. He was dedicated to the success and happiness of his entire family and will be deeply missed.
His family includes his wife, June (LoPorto) Pickens of Manchester; his four children, Pamela Provencher and her husband, Vincent, of Oxford, MA, William Pickens, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Hopkinton, MA, Jennifer Holleran and her husband, Sean, of Hooksett and Melissa Pickens of Lexington, MA and his five grandchildren, Tanner & Tyler Provencher, Amanda and Will Pickens and Megan Holleran.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 474 Goffstown Road Manchester, NH 03102
