She was born in Manchester on July 5, 1921, the daughter of Alphaige and Rose (Brien) Couture. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central. She earned her degree from Hesser Business College.
Prior to retirement three years ago, she had been owner and operator of Aunt Yvette's Day Care Center in Manchester for over 40 years. Yvette dedicated her life to working with and caring for children. She loved decorating for the holidays and especially enjoyed making beautiful arrangements from dried flowers.
She was predeceased by her husband John A. Carroll in 1999.
Members of her family include her daughter, Cynthia Simard of Manchester; one grandson, Kenneth Simard Sr. of Goffstown; two granddaughters, Linda Coulter of Manchester and Deb White and her husband Dana of Manchester; two great-grandsons, Kenneth Simard Jr. and Larry Allard Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Friday December 7, 2007. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
