Yvette (Lambert) Desmarais, 89, of Manchester, died October 11, 2003, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born January 1, 1914, in St. Francois du Lac, Quebec, and was the daughter of Moise and Ellen (Nadeau) Martel. She lived most of her life in Manchester.
She retired from Pandora Industries where she worked for many years.
She had volunteered at the Carpenter Center. In addition she knitted mittens for the Salvation Army.
Family members include a daughter, Irene Betts of Auburn; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Jean Martel of Florida, Walter Martel and Robert Martel, both of Manchester; two sisters, Francoise Chouinard of Hooksett, and Jeanne Landry of Illinois; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Jean Louis "Butch" Lambert, in 2002.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday October 15, 2003 in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester.
Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillsborough County Nursing Home, 400 Mast Rd., Goffstown, 03045.
