Yvette L. Lamontagne, 99, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2018 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown.
Born in Manchester in 1919, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma (Fradette) Fradette. Yvette worked in various mills and laundries in Manchester for over 45 years. She was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area and a long time communicant of St Marie Church.
Yvette enjoyed playing bingo and a variety of card games as well as doing needlework. Her family was what was most dear to her and was always willing to unselfishly give of herself. Everyone who met her found her to be a sweetheart. She will be dearly missed and will always be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother (memere), great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend.
Yvette was predeceased by her husband, Zerilas Lamontagne in 1955.
Her surviving family includes three sons, Ronald Lamontagne and wife Lydia of Manchester, Richard Lamontagne and wife Monette of Northwood, and Lt. Col. Robert Lamontagne (USAF Retired) and wife Katherine of Merrimack; son-in-law, Charles "Danny" Lawrence, husband of her late daughter Susan; nine cherished grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Laura, Adam, Michelle, Melissa, Chad, Luke, Mark, Linda, and Pete; many cherished great grandchildren; and numerous dear nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Lawrence in 2018; and two grandchildren, Patrick and Danielle Lawrence. She was also predeceased by all six of her siblings and their respective spouses, thus becoming matriarch of her family. Her brothers included, Henri Fredette, and wife Rita, Emile Fredette, and wife Rita, Roger Fradette and wife Pauline, and Fernand Fradette who died in early childhood. Her sisters included Jeannette (Fradette) Bucchieri and husband Angelo, and Gloria Fradette who also died in early childhood.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ste Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, whom she missed dearly every day for over 62 years since his death in 1955, after only 16 years of marriage.
