Port St. Lucie

Yvon L. Grenier, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, FL, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Disreali, Quebec on August 22, 1941, to the late Lionel and Emilia (Nault) Grenier. Yvon moved to Manchester, NH in 1964. He then met Suzanne Talbot in 1965, and they were married on May 14, 1966 and later had two daughters.

In 1989, Yvon and Suzanne traveled to Port St. Lucie, FL as snowbirds before moving to Florida in 2018 as full time residents.

Before moving to Florida, Yvon was part of the Painters Union District 35, Local 1280 in Boston, MA, where he worked as a drywall finisher and continued to work in Florida, until he retired in 1996. He took pride in his work and he enjoyed working with his Canadian family and friends.

Yvon was a loving, caring and giving man. He may have been a very soft spoken person, but when he spoke, he always put a smile on our face. All that knew him, loved him.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. His legacy will carry on and as the cherished memories will.

He was a Lifetime Member of the Rimmon Club, Alpine Club and Knights of Columbus.

For over 30 years, almost on a daily basis, Yvon and Suzanne went to their favorite Dunkin Donuts in Port St. Lucie, where they became friends with the managers, employees, along with customers, their kids and/or grandkids. On March 18, 2026, the Dunkin’ staff, friends and customers, celebrated Yvon with a Celebration of Life, putting a gold plaque with his name on the table where he sat every morning. What an amazing honor to see how loved he was by so many and his community.
